About Kovalt
Kovalt has been an idea tumbling around in my head for about three years now, and I finally decided to launch the idea on April 24, 2008. I made the design for the site while waiting for the DNS servers to situate, and have been tweaking it ever since. The main goal of this site is to create a friendly environment for people all around the web, were we can all hang out and just be ourselves.
It is a place for people of all ages and cultures to just hang out and relax. If there is anything that we can help someone with, just let us know via the forum.
Also, if there is anything you would like to suggest for the site, such as new features, plese post them in the "Feedback" section of the forum, or use the Contact form in the "Contact" page under 'Navigation'.
About Me
Well, to introduce myself, my name is Nathan 'Xune' Jennings, and I am a teenager, with a love for, well, quite a few things, such as web developement, literature, and graphic design, just to name a few.
Web Development
Well, I started making web pages using plain HTML when I was about 8 years old, I know young huh... Anyway, after about two years of that, I wanted something more. So my brother (undisclosed name here) showed me CSS and XHTML, and I started working from there..
Though I know most CSS selectors, and most of the XHTML tags, it still takes quite a while for me to make any worthwhile template, because as they say, something you want perfect is never truly done.
I am currently learning PHP, though it is quite hard for me to understand, I think I've got some of it figured out, which is better than none, no?
Literature
I've always been a big reader, and I like to write too, though I am no good at it. I can't ever think of anything to write about, and I think the most I've written in the last four months, is the about page you are reading right now. And trust me, that isn't a lot compared to what I used to write. Though I am a horrible writer, some people think it is good. I guess I just over-critisize myself, as some would see it.
Really though, reading is a big part of my life, and it influences me a lot. Some people I know say I spend too much of my time reading, though I feel you can never really read enough. I think if you want to read, then you should do so.
Graphic Design
Well, I started dabbling in grahic design shortly after quitting a game called Tibia, though I joined the Open Tibia Community shortly after quitting tibia, and that is when I really started with my graphics dabbling habbit.
Open Tibia inspired me, after seeing many people pixel art, or what they call "sprites", which are the graphics to the game. I started making my own sprites around this time, though I never released any until earlier this year, I made them, and many got deleted, and try after try I started making them good enough that I could say I was proud of them. That was when I knew I would surly do something in Graphic Design.
Open Tibia
Open Tibia, just another one of my futile passions. I am never very good at the things I love to do, the only thing I am actually good at is working with computer hardware and software. and Just because I can start a program and run it like I've used it all my life doesn't mean I am particualry good at it.
Anyways, OT is really fun to dabble with. I am actually trying to get a position as a content producer for a fellow Open Tibia-ist at OTFans.net, though I don't know if that will turn out well, or not.
